Anish Kapoor, Indian born British artist, has recently acquired exclusive rights to the revolutionary Vantablack pigment: basically a pigment of black obtained by a series of micro vertical tubes that when lighted up becomes trapped instead of bouncing off and which is intermittently rebounded between the tubes.
Absorbing 99.96 % of light the Vantablack seems to be the blackest substance ever known.
"It's effectively like a paint, it's so black you almost can't see it" affirms Anish.
